Silent conversations

Silent conversations
Across a distance
The look in your eyes tells me all
That I ever wanted to know

Dreams & Death

I dream a thousand dreams ,

and I die a thousand deaths ,

Everyday !

The hallucinations , the mirage

helps me to live for a day more ,

Sooner the dusk shall come . . . . . . . .

I begin to dwell among the memory lane .

This maze of remorse , regret and pain

Enchants me ,

Lures me and traps me brutally .

I emerge out of it ,

Dejection written across my countenance .

I come out once more

And once more I dream ,

To DIE ONE MORE DEATH ! ! ! ! !

YOU

Your smell still lingers….

Over my lips

The subtle caresses

Over my body

The warmth of your embrace

The reassuring touch of your hands

Continues to intoxicate

The more I have of you

The more of you I crave.........

शेष.....

तुम्हारे जाने के बाद
रह गया
ऐक सूना मन
दो बूंद आँसू
तीन खत
और
चारदीवारी

I miss.....

That soothing Voice
that would calm down my agitated nerves
That reassuring touch
that would tell me how secure I was
That loving look
that told me I was being incessantly loved
That existence
For which I could defy all known reasoning
That time spent in togetherness
for which even a lifetime was too less a span.....

If Only...

I would fly, soar across the skies
Over the mountains, deep vast oceans
Migrate to distant lands, across rivers and sands
If only my wings weren't clipped.

I would run after butterflies in the morning sun
Pausing at each little distraction: flowers, ant hills
And a nonchalant snail crawling by
If only I had the time.

I would dance with the rhythm of rain
Trying to collect it in the palm of my hands
Muddle my clothes in the rain water puddle
If only I had the enthusiasm

First post for my mom!

This is my first post , and this one is for my mother who brought me into this world. I wrote a poem for her, while returning from home. This was the first time after my marriage, I had visited home. I hadn't been home in 12 months, and it was the longest period I had stayed away from the unconditional love that parents shower unto you.

11/12/2005
14:00 hrs.

I have asked you not to cry
As you wave me goodbye.
Yet you falter and your voice wavers
When you ask me if there is something else I need

I need you mother, I need you to be happy
I need you to know that I can take care of myself
Yet I do not have the will or strength
To detach myself from your warm embrace
I have to leave you mother because
I am torn apart between the two lives
One that of a daughter, and the other of a wife.

Warm Tears trickle down my face
My heart aches for you
Creases on your face reflect the worries you have faced
ensuring our comfort
Age has put a toll on your limbs
Many a times I have woken up at night hearing you groan in pain
And yet you pretend to be alright.

I just wish that I could endure all this for you
I just wish that I could be your mother for once!
